Las Vegas Raiders @ Cincinnati Bengals

Saturday, 9:30pm, Sky Sports NFL

The playoffs are here at last and we’re hoping to make it a truly super-duper Wildcard Weekend with our offer of a FREE Bet Builder when you place a Bet Builder on any NFL game.

How yankee-doodle-dandy is that?

And just to help you sort your quarterbacks from your linebackers, we’ve brought in The Sporting Life’s Tom Carnduff to suggest a nifty little Bet Builder combo of his own for the first game of the postseason, as the Las Vegas Raiders take on the Cincinnati Bengals…

Handicap: Las Vegas +4.5

The Bengals haven’t won a playoff game in 31 years and I think that streak is going to continue this Saturday night.

You look at the handicap here and might want it to be a bit more generous, but it might have been affected by the Bengals heavily beating the Raiders in Week 11.

However, the context of that game is crucial, as the Raiders only trailed by a touchdown going into the fourth quarter and threw it away late.

They’re also charging into the playoffs after their huge win last week made it four on the bounce for them to edge a playoff berth.

I’m not writing them off here and would definitely take them on the handicap as even a close defeat will see them cover.

Anytime TD Scorer: Hunter Renfrow

I can’t believe the price of this one. He’s huge value here as one of the hottest receivers – if not the hottest – following a two-touchdown performance just last week,

He has five scores across his last five outings and is averaging over 60 yards per game receiving. He’s too good to turn down as part of any Bet Builder.

Darren Waller Receiving Yards: Over 59.5 yards

Waller’s had his injury issues, so there is a bit of a risk on this. I’ve been scouring team news this week trying to keep an eye on Waller’s status for the game but he has been practising and it looks like he’ll suit up.

The Bengals have on the best rushing defences in the league, but they’re much weaker against the pass, ranking 7th worst out of all 32 teams,

HELLO FROM PADDY POWER NEWS!

That should play into the hands of Raiders offence that loves to throw it around. Tight end Darren Waller is quarterback Derek Carr’s second favourite target after Renfrow, and had a good day against Cincy the last time they played, surpassing this total on the day with 116 yards.

If he’s involved they’re going to look to him, over 59.5 is enough to tempt me.

Joe Burrow Rushing Yards: Over 8.5 yards

The Bengals have a plethora of offensive talent, but the line on this is so low I just have to get involved in it.

Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow has hit this mark for rushing yards in each of his last three games, including 25 yards against the Broncos.

He’s not really known for his ground threat, but when you look at the previous game against Vegas, he had 11 yards and all he needs is a scramble for a first down here to land this. it’s too low to resist.
