Kempton 1.35 – Beau Balko

Beau Balko has been very consistent of late and on a 4lbs higher mark there’s still a bit of juice in his mark of 127. Issar Dairy is looking for a hat trick but he is 16lbs higher than his last two wins so maybe that might stop him.

Uttoxeter 1.50 – Jagwar

Jagwar looks well treated in this off 119 with a win under his belt last time. His second at Aintree, when a head behind Inthewaterside reads well now and the fact he’s proven on heavy ground is a big help. Canty Bay up 7lbs for last win but should be on the premises.

Kempton 2.10 – Harbour Lake

Harbour Lake reverts back over hurdles having not taken well to fences but he looks well treated back over hurdles off 128. On his last run over hurdles he finished fifth at the Grand National meeting at Aintree last season, he’s also finished third in the Greatwood Hurdle off 7lb higher so if hurdles can bring him back to life – he’s a big price. Irish Hill has dropped to a fair mark but was well behind Harbour Lake at Aintree last April.

Uttoxeter 2.25 – Lord Snootie

Lord Snootie finished a half a length behind Cuthebert Dibble who ran well to finish third in the in the Pertemps Hurdle on Thursday at Cheltenham . He’s been upped 3lbs for that effort but has a nice weight of 11st and has plenty of good runs in similar races. The ground won’t be any issue to him either.

Kempton 2.45 – Outlaw Peter

Outlaw Peter finished just a neck behind Thunder Rock at Musslburgh last time, he subsequently went onto win a Listed Chase at Kelso after that. He remains on the same mark here and ran really well over course and distance two starts back behind Blow Your Wad. There’s plenty of question marks over a few in this and he would appeal at the prices.

Uttoxeter 3.00 – Ask Me Early

Ask Me Early loves this ground and for a 10 -year-old, he’s lightly raced having only had 15 starts under Rules. He won a novice handicap chase here back in 2021 off the same mark as now and he was a nine-length winner at Exeter last time with first-time cheek-pieces on. He’s less than 11st to carry which is a big help given the last seven winners all carried under 11st. Mr Incredible is an interesting runner, but he has plenty of weight and that puts me off.

Uttoxeter 3.35 – Evies Vladimir

Irish raider Evies Vladimir should be fine on the ground and the 3m trip may unlock a little more improvement. Was a deep enough race last time at Naas when he was behind Battle It Out and that was a career-best run. The Changing Man is worth a mention as he’s almost certainly better than a mark of 126.

Thurles 4.50 Solly Atwell

Solly Atwell bumped into a well handicapped horse of Gavin Cromwell’s last time but just 4lbs higher now can run well.
