13:20 Lark In The Mornin
The winner of the Boodles at Cheltenham has emerged from this race in four of the last five seasons, making this potentially a more significant event than is apparent at first glance. Preference is for LARK IN THE MORNIN, a Flat winner and twice placed over hurdles. He came out best in a Fairyhouse clash with Pacini and may take advantage of a 7lb concession from Nara, a winning French import who made her Irish debut in a Grade 2 event.
13:55 Answer To Kayf
Willie Mullins is doubly represented here with Blizzard Of Oz and Captain Cody, with the latter having two victories over Blizzard Of Oz to his credit last season in bumpers and was a shade more convincing in landing his maiden hurdle. The one to beat though should be the progressive ANSWER TO KAYF, runner-up in a Limerick Grade 2 last time with the drop in trip not an issue.
14:30 Union Station
The experiences Musta Lovea Lovea might not be far from breaking his duck, while the promising Gold In The Rivers should improve plenty. The one to beat is UNION STATION who should build on his highly promising debut over 2m here last month.
15:05 Champion Green (NAP)
The consistent Star Official will not be far away, while Whiskeyweath has also shown how capable he is off his lower mark over hurdles. This could easily go to top-weight CHAMPION GREEN (NAP), a maiden hurdle winner here two years ago. He was not disgraced last time and could have too much class for these off a falling handicap mark.
15:40 Maskada
The conditions of the race give last season’s Grand Annual winner MASKADA a good chance of coping with Allegorie De Vassy and Riveire D’Etel who face a rematch of a Fairyhouse race in which Paul Townend’s mount failed to do herself justice.

16:15 Its On The Line
Without the benefit of a recent outing Billaway faces a struggle in his bid to win this contest for the fifth time. His record here is a big plus, but ITS ON THE LINE was an emerging star last season and has confirmed a high standard by beating the talented Ferns Lock at Down Royal. Hitak has impressed in points and may not be out of place in the company of top hunter chasers.
16:50 Kap De Triomphe
This is a guessing game but the fact that Pat Doyle provided the runner-up in a similar event last month sways the vote in favour of KAP DE TRIOMPHE over Gordon Elliott’s Buckaway Freddie who carries the trainer’s colours. With a run under her belt Rose Boum should not be underestimated.
