Cheltenham Tips: Rory Delargy’s 20/1 each-way pick for the Gold Cup non runner money back

Rory reckons Lucinda Russell's Corach Rambler could be an each-way pick in Paddy's non runner money back market rather than the favourite Galopin Des Champs.

In the fourth of this year’s Paddy Power Media’s ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ podcast Cheltenham Countdown’, host Tom Nugent together with former champion jockey turned tv pundit Ruby Walsh and well-known journalist and broadcaster Rory Delargy, look at the Gold Cup on day four of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival.

Corach Rambler is an attractive, each-way bet for the race. His trainer, Lucinda Russell, has shown that she can get her horses to their best form in the spring, and the horse has got the form at Cheltenham, twice winning the Ultimate Handicap Chase.

He beat this year’s second favourite in the Gold Cup Fastor Slow in the Ultimate last season and will be suited to the longer trip at Cheltenham.

They decided not to run him in the Cotswold Chase earlier this season, but he has previously shown that he can come into the Festival after a break and show his best form.

Even if he doesn’t run particularly brilliantly, he could easily be there to pick up the pieces and finish third. Equally, he could be running into a collapsing pace at the front and win it all.
