13:10 Leopardstown – Grangeclare West (N/R)
I love Gaelic Warrior but I can’t have his jumping right-handed. He may well get away with it but, with that doubt, he is a very short price. Grangeclare West was foot-perfect when winning here, beating Corbetts Cross. That form is strong and I take him to get the nod here.
13:20 Musselburgh – An Bradan Feasa
An Bradan Feasa was a good winner at Cheltenham and had chased home Burdett Road prior to that. He is a strong traveller and that’s just what you need for around here.
13:50 Musselburgh – Beau Balko
Beau Balko was second to Chanceux at Hereford but this is a good time of the year for this horse who was a winner at Sandown 12 months ago before being narrowly beaten by Iberico Lord at Stratford.
13:40 Leopardstown – Slade Steel
Ballyburn could be vulnerable at the top of the market on ground that’s beginning to dry, while I suspect he’ll want further than two miles later down the line. I’m with Henry de Bromhead’s Slade Steel. He beat Lecky Watson by half a length last time out and that was a solid win. He will have come on for that victory and he will be suited by dropping back to two miles after running over 2m4f in December.
14:10 Leopardstown – El Fabiolo
El Fabiolo is a class act and I can’t oppose him. He’s rightly short but he’ll win here.

14:25 Musselburgh – Hypotenus
I love John McConnell runners in the UK. Hypotenus‘ third at Fairyhouse is decent form and even the handicapper has this horse as highest rated. Recoup is a very interesting runner as looked like an improver at Ludlow. If that’s right he is the danger.
14:45 Leopardstown – State Man
Only horse to beat State Man was the monster Constitution Hill. He has to be the one as Paul Townend has chosen him over Impaire Et Passe. Bob Olinger is a fascinating runner. Can he be as effective over this trip?
15:00 Musselburgh – Almuhit
Emmet Mullins needs Almuhit to win to have a chance of running at the Cheltenham Festival. He is rated 90 on the Flat but is still very well in here. Springwell Bay is one with each-way chances.
15:20 Leopardstown – Heart Wood
Rachael Blackmore rides this Robcour-owned horse, Heart Wood. He has been placed behind two smart horse in Novice Chases prior to this. Gets in here with a featherweightand is the value bet in a hot race.
15:35 Musselburgh – Petit Tonnerre
I can’t believe it has taken this long for Petit Tonnerre to win over fences. This handicap is a valuable prize and he is well up to it.
