Ruby Walsh’s National Hunt Chase Antepost Tips:

Corbetts Cross (each way)

In the second of this year’s Paddy Power Media’s ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ podcast ‘Cheltenham Countdown’, host Tom Nugent together with former champion jockey turned tv pundit Ruby Walsh and well-known journalist and broadcaster Rory Delargy, look at the National Hunt Chase on day two of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival.

RUBY WALSH

Embassy Gardens and Meetingofthewaters are the two Willie Mullins horses that qualify. I’d be shocked if Grangeclare West ran in it. Do I see any of the others qualifying? Maybe Nick Rockett, but Corbetts Cross stands out to me.

Meetingofthewaters could turn up but I think I read Patrick [Mullins] saying the other day that he could run in the Ultima. He was 130 when he won at Leopardstown. Minella Cocooner could go here but he’d want to improve I’d say.

Possibly Embassy Gardens, Meetingofthewaters and maybe Nick Rockett eill run, but the one I fancy is Corbetts Cross each-way. The price has come in a little. Maybe Fact To File could end up in the Brown Advisory, Spillanes Tower could end up in the Turners Chase and you start looking at the owner and where horses could get split. I just think this fella has qualified for this race and he makes appeal to me.
