17:00 – The Turpinator

He normally runs over further but THE TURPINATOR was a creditable fourth in a valuable C&D contest last month and is taken to win this lesser race off a 1lb lower mark. Secret Guest ran a big race in defeat here on his latest outing and is feared most, ahead of last-time-out winners Petit Calvados and Mighty Power.

17:30 – Urban Road

This looks well contested. Recent course winner URBAN ROAD could be the answer with the drop back to 1m of no concern. Cusack is closely matched with the selection and he could be the danger, followed by Aim For The Moon.

18:00 – Moon Flight (NAP)

The ex-Prescott trained MOON FLIGHT (nap) travelled like a well-handicapped horse here last time when ultimately paying the price for racing close to a strong pace. He has more to offer. Dark Kestrel is closely matched with the selection but slow starts are holding him back. Khabib is solid and the second choice, though a few in here have fighting chances.

18:30 – Waleefy

Tournelle only needed to be pushed out to justify favouritism on her debut here but she now has a penalty against male opposition. Parthenopaeus smacked like a surefire future winner here 13 days ago and Las Ramblas is a very well-bred newcomer for top connections, but WALEEFY appeals most. This half-brother to Baaeed did well to finish so close at Lingfield and he should be considerably sharper all round this time.

19:00 – Oliver Show

Competitive. It’s all been good for the The Caltonian (second choice) since wearing blinkers but he has got himself high in the weights. OLIVER SHOW was perhaps unlucky not to collect on only his second run for George Boughey and he might be the answer. Johnny James deserves a change of luck and is unlikely to be far away.

19:30 – Miss Calculation

An unusually competitive race for the grade. With competition for the early lead likely, this could be run to suit MISS CALCULATION, who ran on well from the rear in two recent Wolverhampton handicaps and now drops to this level for the first time. Tathmeen also wants a strong pace to aim at and is second choice, ahead of One For The Ladies, Blackcurrent and Autumn Flight.

20:00 – Enderman

Henery Hawk was eased in the closing stages when winning by 2l over C&D a fortnight ago but, given his overall profile, it seems unlikely that performance was as good as it looked. He’s 9lb higher today and opposed with ENDERMAN, who raced freely when placed off a 2lb higher mark over 6f here last month and now drops back to 5f with new headgear tried. King Of The Jungle bids to complete a C&D hat-trick and is second choice.

20:30 – Crocodile Power

Bonito Cavalo has launched his AW career with four wins at Newcastle, the latest on Friday, and he ought to cope with today’s drop back in trip. He can’t be opposed with any confidence but CROCODILE POWER did not get an entirely clear run before finishing well to go close at Chelmsford a fortnight ago and he remains well handicapped on some of last year’s form. Phoenix Star is another to consider.
