13:10 Leopardstown – Gaelic Warrior

ITV go to Ireland Sunday starting here with e a Grade 1 novice chase over an extended 2m5f. This is a sizzler and not many will believe Grangeclare West is the price he is after a romp last time. That all said GAELIC WARRIOR was the best of these over hurdles and jumps for fun so he has to be the selection. Going left-handed is not ideal, but he oozes class and I expect him to win for Paul Townend and Willie Mullins. He ran a cracker in the Ballymore at Cheltenham last year.

13:20 Musselburgh – An Bradan Feasa

A Listed event for juvenile hurdlers over nearly 2m. I’m very happy to stick with recent Cheltenham winner AN BRADAN FEASA for Jack Jones and Tom Bellamy. The selection is getting better with racing and has every chance on ratings getting 2lb from Liari. Has more to come as well.

13:40 Leopardstown – Farren Glory

Another Grade 1 for novice hurdlers but this time over just short of 2m. I’m happy to chance FARREN GLORY for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy. My selection would have won a Grade 1 at Aintree last time but for falling in the closing stages and while Ballyburn is clearly very useful it was only a maiden hurdle he took last time and he was beaten by an Elliott inmate the time before.

13:50 Musselburgh – Cedar Hill

Here’s a handicap chase 2m. A shame there are not eight in here. Beau Balko is obvious, but I like CEDAR HILL who fell over further last time but prior to that had been in great from over this sort of trip including when scoring at Perth and Kelso. Ryan Mania is on top for Sandy Thomson.

14:10 Leopardstown – El Fabiolo

A big Grade 1 chase over 2m1f. Many of the races at the Dublin Racing Festival will be bar a fall and that’s the case here with Ankle winner EL FABIOLO. He’s easily the most talented of this bunch and should score for Paul Townend and Willie Mullins.

14:25 Musselburgh – Recoup

A novice hurdle over nearly 2m. A wide open event. RECOUP was a strong stayer on the Flat and did well on hurdling debut at Ludlow. There’s every chance he’s pretty good for Fergal O’Brien and Paddy Brennan although he will have to be to run off levels with the 130-rated Hypotenus.

14:45 Leopardstown – State Man

The Grade 1 Irish Champion Hurdle over 2m. Impossible to oppose STATE MAN who jumps for fun and is high class for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend. He’s rock solid in all departments and tactics are no issue. Basically he’s just better than these.

15:00 Musselburgh – Noble Birth

Now a handicap hurdle over 3m. This is tricky. Not many of these are definite stayers, but one who is at a price is NOBLE BIRTH for Conor McNamara. The seven-year-old was not disgraced at Cheltenham or Ayr on his last two starts and could have eachway claims at decent odds.

15:20 Leopardstown – Busselton (each-way)

A Grade 3 handicap chase over an extended 2m5f. Finally a wide open event. I think BUSSELTON is interesting eachway here for Joseph O’Brien and JJ Slevin. My selection was far from disgraced over further last time when sixth in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown and he will prefer this distance. He’s 15lb better off with the winner Meetingofthewaters. An each-way selection.

15:35 Musselburgh – Thunder Rock

A handicap chase over an extended 2m4f. I’m happy to give THUNDER ROCK another chance for Olly Murphy and Gavin Sheehan. My hope couldn’t cope with Cheltenham last time and jumped badly before pulling up. He also lost a right fore shoe. Prior to that Thunder Rock had looked progressive at Carlisle so fingers crossed.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
