Having posted a promising effort over C&D on his reappearance, LAHEG (nap) looks poised to regain the winning thread. Twilight Madness is feared most on current form. Heed the market signals with regard to Incrimination and Whenthedealinsdone who both lack recent match practice but look interesting.

The second running of the Tandridge Stakes may turn tactical with no habitual front-runners in the field. Johnston horse Dear My Friend seems the likeliest to go forward and he brings a 2-2 record on AW so has to be feared. However, the upped-in-trip NINE TENTHS could well show the best turn of foot at the business end and take advantage of a good chance at the weights.

Armed with a 5lb pull, last year’s runner-up DILIGENT HARRY could well go one better and reverse placings with Annaf who is respected all the same. Coachello has clear possibilities granted a well-run race, Willem Twee is open to further improvement and The X O is interesting returned to AW.
15:45 – Roman Emperor
John Ryan holds a robust hand with the improving ROMAN EMPEROR and interesting World Of Darcy, preferred in that order. Blue Prince has good claims provided his Tapeta form is transferred to Polytrack, while Brave Empire is not written off.
16:17 – Make Clear
On the back of a good C&D effort behind a rival who was completing a hat-trick, MAKE CLEAR could well go one better and open her account. Victors Dream, another maiden who has some respectable form here, is second choice off a reduced mark. Royal Agent is a possible improver.
