18:00 – Cerevetto
Although he made all at Lingfield on last week’s handicap debut, it’s certainly not set in stone that CERVETTO has to lead and that might be no bad thing with other front-runners on show. Dylan Cunha’s unexposed 4yo escapes a penalty for that win and he can follow up en route to better things. Jenson Benson needs a strong pace at 7f but he’s still well treated and can go well, along with recent C&D winner Conquest Of Power and Chola Empire.
18:30 – Siobhanbrogan
Gaiden sets the standard and she looks sure to go well once again but there are rivals of interest. Moonfire and Rosy Affair can do better, but SIOBHANBROGAN shaped nicely in a good race at Newbury last summer and she returns to action with her yard going well. She could take a good step forward this year
19:00 – Admirable Lad
A case can be made for a few of these but ADMIRABLE LAD has looked on top of his game since wind surgery and he can allay slight concerns as to whether this trip suits as well as 5f. Viewfromthestars can be the main danger but the refitting of headgear on Fantasy Navigator could turn out to be a good move.

19:30 – Level Up (NAP)
Reigning Profit bumped into one at Southwell last week and he’s a major contender in these calmer waters, while Crimson Sand should find this being run to suit and he’s likely to make good late headway. LEVEL UP (nap) is preferred, though, with his recent Lingfield win franked and Rossa Ryan a notable booking (three wins from four rides on him).
20:00 – Wadacre Gomez
A competitive handicap. Inspiritus won well at Wolverhampton on his handicap debut and still has potential, while in-form course regular Cavalluccio (second choice) and Outgun also come right into the reckoning. WADACRE GOMEZ couldn’t cope with Class 2 company at Newcastle on New Year’s Day but this track suits him well and he can capitalise on today’s ease in grade.
20:30 – H Key Lails
A small field but still a tricky puzzle to solve. Deed Pole and Glencalvie were below par last time but a repeat of their penultimate efforts would bring them right into the reckoning. Angel Of Antrim comes into the reckoning on his best form and he could be reinvigorated by a visor but H KEY LAILS might be the answer. He’s on a dangerous mark on even this winter’s best and the return of cheekpieces could prove crucial.
