Willie Mullins has four of the five runners declared, with Henry De Bromhead’s Captain Guinness the sole non Mullins’ runner. Gentleman De Mee takes a couple of runs to get going and I’m not sold on Appreciate It so I’m with Dinoblue who Mark Walsh has opted to ride out of the J P McManus trio. She’s still improving and she’s only six years old. She could be one for the Grand Annual at Cheltenham next March, where she was a creditable second last season.

13:45 Leopardstown – Down Memory Lane
The Grade 1 Novice Hurdle has attracted nine runners with the majority split between Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott. Down Memory Lane and Daddy Long Legs have been really impressive in their wins to date. When I first saw the prices, It’s For Me was the value pick, however, he’s not running now, so it’s between the two at the top of the betting and I’ll side with Down Memory Lane for Gordon Elliot. This could be a smart bit of placing from him.
15:00 Leopardstown – Ha D’or (non runner)
The big betting race on the card is the ultra-competitive Paddy Power Chase where last year’s third-placed finisher Panda Boy will be popular again in a race that Paddy’s bound to throw in some extra places. He’s at the top of the market but Willie Mullins’ Ha D’or could be a value pick. He should relish the step up to this 3m trip and should be a nioce prices to hit the places at least.
