Bit of a slog, this!

Chepstow is set to stage the biggest race of the season in Wales as a whole host of staying chasers tackle the prestigious marathon contest that is the Welsh Grand National.

The Premier Handicap – a gruelling slog containing 23 fences over 3m6½f – has been won by a number of classy types including subsequent Cheltenham Gold Cup scorers Synchronised and Native River.

There was a much-awaited winner in last season’s renewal as The Two Amigos ended a four-year losing streak when being the first home of just seven finishers.

You can run the rule over our Welsh Grand National odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.

Autonomous Cloud is also prominent in our antepost market following a facile victory at Uttoxeter on seasonal reappearance.
