13:05 Aintree – Cannock Park
It’ll be good placing from Gordon Elliott if he goes there with Farren Glory, a Grade 1 winner at Fairyhouse last time and it looks a race that’s winnable for him. However, I like Cannock Park.
He beat Innatendue at Cheltenham in October and he was giving him 7lbs. He did a lot wrong there and a flatter track at Aintree would suit even better.

13:20 Kempton – Il Est Francais
The Kauto Star Novices’ Chase looks a cracking race. Willie Mullins has stuck in Klassical Dream and Grangeclare West. Klassical Dream would have a great chance if he runs, while Grangeclare West would have to do what he couldn’t last year and back up his maiden win.
He fell away after winning a maiden hurdle last campaign. The vibes from France are really strong on Il Est Francais. I have a lot of respect for him and we’ve seen a French runner come over and bolt up before.
13:55 Kempton – Constitution Hill
I can see Nico de Boinville lying up behind the leaders and not taking it up until later on as connections will presumably want to give him as easy a time as possible. Why would you want to give Constitution Hill a hard race when he could be winning multiple Champion Hurdles in the years to come. That’s how I’d look at it if I was riding him.
14:20 Leopardstown – Facile Vega
There was only a few lengths between Facile Vega and Inthepocket at Navan last time out and there wasn’t much between them in the Supreme earlier this year. At the prices, with Facile Vega odds-on and Inthepocket a decent price, that’s the angle to look at. Inthepocket is a better bet at the prices but I do expect Facile Vega to still have the upper hand.
Il Etait Temps was good at Thurles but there’s a lot of galloping and jumping fences at Leopasrdstown. I’m not sure Leopardstown over fences is for Il Etait Temps. I’d prefer him at Punchestown as he’s a really quick jumper.
14:30 Kempton – Allaho
Kempton is a jumper’s track so you need one that will attack the fences – and Allaho does that. He won at Clonmel on his seasonal reappearance and he always improves from that opening run. He’s tailor made for Kempton.
