13:15 Cheltenham – Funambule Sivola

Harry Fry’s runners haven’t gone that well recently so I’m having doubts about In Excelsis Deo, even though he ran really well at Cheltenham last time out. I have a soft spot for Funambule Sivola, who is back down to a mark of 150. That’s a decent mark and Venetia Williams’ runners are still in good enough form.

13:50 Cheltenham – So Scottish

I’m with the Irish raider So Scottish for Emmet Mullins. Mark Walsh has travelled to Cheltenham to ride him and that’s enough of a sign for me. He finished fourth at Gowran Park behind Lucid Dreams in November and that could set him up for this.

14:05 Doncaster – Mister Who

I like Mister Who for Tom Cannon and Toby Lawes, who was second to Oxygen at Lingfield around a month ago. A reproduction of that run should put him thereabouts to challenge.

14:25 Cheltenham – Threeunderthrufive

It’s hard to know what to expect from Broadway Boy but I’m going to side with Threeunderthrufive. He’s frustrating but a stiffer track will suit him. They might go a bit slower too, which will help.

14:40 Doncaster – Rare Edition (NAP)

Rare Edition is my NAP of the day. He beat Rubaud last year at Kempton and followed that up with a second behind Marble Sands at Huntingdon. He was then pulled up at Cheltenham and ran poorly behind Inthepocket at Aintree. A mark of 136 seems fair and he runs well after a break.

15:00 Cheltenham – Shanagh Bob

I went against all of Nicky Henderson’s runners last week but I’m with Shanagh Bob now. This isn’t the strongest renewal and I’m not too strong on him but I can’t see anything else turning him over. He’s the most likely winner.

15:15 Doncaster – Slipway

Slipway is my fancy. Beau Morgan is on board for Ben Pauling and he’s claiming 5lbs, which is a big bonus. He’s on a mark he won off last year and he can go close at a decent price.

15:35 Cheltenham – Nurse Susan

Nurse Susan has only ran once since the 2022 Cheltenham Festival. She’s off a mark of 125 and that’s more than workable for Harry and Dan Skelton. I’ll have a bit of that!
