On all known form, this should boil down to a match. BESTALINE, third to the subsequent Galway Hurdle winner Zarak The Brave at Fairyhouse last November, can put that experience to good use over She’s A Fine Wine who won a bumper for Olly Murphy last season.
14:30 – Whats Up Darling
Several interesting runners here, though a few of them may find 2m a bit short. Slight preference is for point/bumper winner WHAT’S UP DARLING over Punchestown bumper scorer Walk Away Harry. Native Speaker and Diamboy Des Carres could feature along with Ballycallan King who has the merit of being race-fit.
15:05 – Chainofconsequence
Second on his return to hurdling at Galway, CHAINOFCONSEQUENCE should be suited by this longer trip and can go one better. First and second in a 2m4f contest at Listowel, Millstream Lady and Rockbrook are open to further improvement.
15:40 – Killinure Lass
Gowran chase winner Positive Thinker will do for many off his lower hurdles mark but KILLINURE LASS will be equally suited by conditions and is taken to record her fourth win over hurdles.

16:15 – Frontal Assault
Gordon Elliott supplies eight of the 13. It could pay to take the hint from Jack Kennedy who sticks with FRONTAL ASSAULT who may have needed his run in a conditions event at Galway. Mars Harper should have developed confidence from a pair of wins while Run Wild Fred is capable of running well when fresh. A Wave Of The Sea could go close if jumping better than at Listowel and Walk Away is not badly treated if his problems are behind him.
16:50 – Jody Ted (NAP)
A race designed for horses rated up to 145 but they haven’t shown up which gives JODY TED (nap) a nice opportunity to land a good prize. He showed good form in better-contested handicaps last season and will handle conditions. All Those Years and Battle Of Mirbat are capable of big runs.
17:25 – Quilixios
If fit and ready after a long absence the former Triumph Hurdle winner QUILIXIOS can see off a likely challenge from Cool Survivor who had an anti-climactic end to last season’s novice hurdling campaign.
