16:12 – Alyara

Off a handy mark back up in distance, ALYARA could well regain the winning thread. Fairly consistent 3yos Hitched (second choice) and Paco’s Pride may prove the biggest dangers, provided they cope with the return to AW.

16:50 – Waleyfa

The state of her current form isn’t totally clear but WALEYFA is otherwise an interesting contender back on AW, having won her last three races in this sphere. Island Native, whose turn looks near, is feared most ahead of Harbour Vision and My Roxanne.

17:25 – Princess Alice (NAP)

Of the three winners in the field, Shuangxi is comfortably the most interesting. Thrown in at the deep end in the Cheveley Park on the back of her 5f win here last month, she should find this company much more to her liking. She is up against a potential big improver in PRINCESS ALICE (nap), though, and the selection can confirm the promise of her fast-finishing third at Kempton 24 days ago.

18:00 – Newyorkstateofmind

Neither Speed Dial Baileys nor Bomb Squad are thrown in off their current mark but both are in form and command respect in a trappy event. Phoenix Glow and Warminster may bounce back from low-key recent efforts but perhaps the class-dropping NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND will be the answer.

18:30 – Lets Go Hugo

Josies Kid and Boom The Groom both have something to recommend them but they could get embroiled in a battle up front and this could fall to something coming from off the pace. Granny B and Dalby Forest (second choice) are possibles but LET’S GO HUGO has been given a chance by the handicapper and his latest run at Newcastle wasn’t without hope. Back on a sharper track he may be able to exploit his lowly mark.

19:00 – Roman Art

There are risks attached to ROMAN ART, who needs to bounce back from last month’s poor performance and is untested beyond about 1m3f, but his third in first-time blinkers in August was a creditable performance, given he never really had a good track position and that the form worked out very well. He gets the verdict ahead of Mellow Mood and Ghostly.

19:30 – Tarjeeh

This a belated start to TARJEEH’s 3yo campaign but it was a decent race he won at Newbury when last seen 15 months ago and he’ll set a good standard for the rest to aim if getting anywhere near the figure he achieved on that occasion. Leading Lion (second choice), Elladonna and Running Star can battle it out for minor honours.

20:00 – Smart Charger

Tony Carroll’s SMART CHARGER may have more to offer now stepping up to 1m4f for the first time, so he’s the suggestion with his Kempton form having been franked. Pysanka (second choice) and Sexy Rexy are respected as last-time-out C&D scorers, while Wilkie failed to fire when the subject of market support last time but continues to lurk on a dangerous mark.

20:30 – Legende Dart

Liberty Mountain has stall 12 to overcome but her yard are among the winners and this season’s best form brings her right into the reckoning. Prolific C&D winner Chifa and Fiscal Policy (second choice) are also feared but LEGENDE D’ART made a promising return to action at Chelmsford three weeks ago and today’s extra furlong should see him to better effect.
