13:15 York – Starlore
Starlore managed to win over 7f on his first start and when he stepped up in grade he looked all over the winner from the quarter-mile pole, but clearly came up for air inside the distance. Dropping back sprinting is the key with him and he has a lot of untapped potential.
13:25 Newmarket – Arabic Legend
Arabic Legend comfortably managed to win on his racecourse debut and then found only Arabian Crown too good at Salisbury. When coming under pressure, he rolled around and didn’t know what was required until very late in the day. He’ll be much sharper mentally and is already proven over the distance.
14:00 Newmarket – City Of Troy
City Of Troy certainly looked the real deal when sprinting clear for a 6 1/2 length success on the July course on his last start. He hasn’t been seen since as they dodged the National Stakes at the Curragh. He could he be the Wunder-horse we’ve been waiting for for next season.
14:25 York – Montassib (each-way)
Montassib did us a favour at a huge each-way price in the Ayr Gold Cup despite not getting much luck throughout that contest. He finishing full of running too. This is a much sharper 6f but he will have learnt from that experience and can be picking up the pieces later on.
14:40 Newmarket – Law Of The Sea (each-way)
The price has well and truly collapsed for the Irish raider Pied Piper and connections feel he’s going to take a world of beating. I’ll chance Law Of The Sea at a huge each-way price as he’s guaranteed to get the trip. It’s all about getting him to relax early on. He made the running last time, which is clearly not his ideal scenario, so expect him to be dropped in and waited with.

15:05 York – Assailant
The new stable jockey Kieran Shoemark goes up to York for a few rides for the Gosdens with the beautifully-bred newcomer Assailant the best of his chances. The bar is not set very high with the four horses that have raced so far and he can make a winning debut.
15:15 Newmarket – Arabian Crown
Arabian Crown absolutely zipped in at Salisbury last time, putting the race to bed in a matter of strides. If he retains that speed now stepping up to the mile and a quarter, he really could be a top-class stayer to look forward to next season.
15:35 York – Believe In Stars
Believe In Stars is an unexposed lightly-raced individual from a top Sir Michael Stoute stable. There is plenty to get excited about with his return to action. The front two pulled a mile clear at Goodwood last time and he absolutely hammered through the line. It’s time for the older brigade to move over and let the youngster strut his stuff.
15:50 Newmarket – Knight
The intermediate distance of nine furlongs will suit Knight down to the ground. His run last time is absolutely rock solid and could ewll hoild a class edge in this contest. Keep an eye on how Chindit runs on Friday as he finished second to hiom last time at Sandown.
