DOOMSDAY looks to be on a good mark here and his front running style is always a positive at Catterick. He’s got course and distance form in the book already and has won here off a 5lb higher mark. A good second last time out and as he remains on the same mark today, should go close.
15:40 – Ffos Las – Amemri (each-way)
1.5 points each-way
AMEMRI is an Irish raider who probably holds some of the best form in this contest. He has form on soft ground which can’t be said for many of the runners. He posts a good record over today’s trip and has been holding his form pretty well. He looks rock-solid to run well again.
16:00 – Catterick – Winklevi (each-way)
1.5 points each-way
WINKLEVI is another front runner under a jockey whose style is well suited to front-running types in Ben Curtis. Hasn’t been in the winners enclosure as much as he probably should have been, but has posted some decent efforts in defeat. He was a winner of 11lbs higher previously, so is well handicapped on his old form.
A lot of the field have struggled recently to produce their best so this is a race that can be snatched from the front.
