Chagall (second choice) and Bay Dream Believer can go well but TEMPER TRAP (nap) is back in the groove now and he still appeals as being ahead of his mark despite a 5lb penalty for Saturday’s Hamilton win.

With clear form pick Seven Questions having to prove himself on slow ground, this could be ripe for an upset. Chat Up Line has won a nursery and won’t mind conditions but there are some interesting alternatives. Granny Budgie (second choice) is greatly respected, while Lochaber can improve for 6f, but the vote goes to MARIE’S SECRET. Her Thirsk run last month was promising and the return to this trip should be in her favour.

19:40 – Baileys Khelstar

The Newmarket raiders Seendid, Dasho Lennie and Mordor all have something to recommend them but Whispering Royal and BAILEYS KHELSTAR appeal most. Drying ground would be of benefit to the selection who had a near miss at Yarmouth last week.

20:10 – Spanish Angel

Latin Five and Imperial Khan should make bold bids for Paul Midgley, while Albegone is in better form than his numbers suggest and he shouldn’t be far away. High Opinion and SPANISH ANGEL may be the pair to focus on, though, and the selection should appreciate this ground more than when a fine second at Beverley two weeks ago.

20:40 – Jazzagal

Profitable Edge should go well at this level but there is a slight question mark over the ground. Your Spirit finished in front of JAZZAGAL at Beverley last time but Tim Easterby’s filly raced on the unfavoured side and she can register her second C&D success.
