17:40 At Liberty

The Michael Bell-trained AT LIBERTY enjoyed no luck in running when an unplaced favourite at Yarmouth last time and is taken to add to his two wins last October. Bunker Bay was disappointing at Newbury last time but went close at Yarmouth previously and is second choice in a first-time visor. The in-form Arranmore is a contender if seeing out this new trip.

18:10 Star Of Mystery

Godolphin filly STAR OF MYSTERY was a promising second on her recent debut at Doncaster and her fine pedigree firmly indicates she will improve. She is the selection ahead of the Roger Varian-trained Al Hujaija, while Elinor Dashwood and Idle Assembly are other newcomers who could run well.

18:40 All Is Fair

Godolphin’s Impressive Act has the best form on account of his debut second at York but he was only third when odds-on at Leicester last time. A chance is taken on the newcomer ALL IS FAIR, who is bred to be precocious, with fellow debutant Good Point second choice. Irish Nectar can build on his promising Hamilton debut and is another to consider.

19:10 Brian The Snail (NAP)

The 9yo BRIAN THE SNAIL (nap) quickened for a comfortable win at Ripon last Wednesday and should take some stopping if in the same form here. Vadamiah did well to finish fifth of 16 at Musselburgh on her reappearance having set a strong pace, and she’s not yet fully exposed. She could be the chief threat although there are a few other possible dangers, including Rum Cocktail and Riversway.

19:40 Match Play

Having been up there for a long way at York last time, MATCH PLAY gets the nod in this less competitive race. The unexposed Mistamac is open to improvement on his second start of the season and could be the main danger ahead of Paddy’s Day.

20:15 Trais Fluors

The 9yo TRAIS FLUORS escapes a penalty for last Friday’s apprentice handicap win at Goodwood and can go in again. Fellow last-time-out winner Bobby Dassler is feared most, although the well-bred Olympicus is an intriguing contender on his first run for Mick Appleby.

20:50 Different Tone

Blue Yonder and Arkenstaar both scored twice in May and the former nearly won for a third time, a performance nine days ago which leaves him well handicapped today before his scheduled 4lb rise in the weights. He is second choice to DIFFERENT TONE who brings potential following his promising reappearance in a 1m2f classified. Kamanika demands respect with two of her last three efforts.
