13:50 Newmarket – Pinafore (Expert Eye)

PINAFORE was runner-up at Yarmouth (6f, good) last September on second start then won at odds-on at Kempton (6f, AW) 13 days later. Unraced on slow ground. Improvement is required on this handicap debut but her talented half-brother Khanjar took a major leap forward from two to three for this top yard.

14:40 Cheltenham – Ahorsewithnoname (RP Ratings)

AHORSEWITHNONAME was a 50-1 runner-up in a 2m1f Grade 2 at last season’s Festival, after which she further raised her profile with two Flat wins and a fifth in the Cesarewitch. Reportedly bled on reappearance and she could finish only tenth back in that same Grade 2 last month. Remains a maiden over hurdles and Nico De Boinville turns elsewhere.

15:15 Cheltenham – Rose Of Arcadia (Chris Wright)

ROSE OF ARCARIA’S overall profile is hit and miss but she’s a talented mare when on song as she showed when much too good for Good Luck Charm and Do You Think at Fontwell a month ago (3m2f, heavy). 8lb higher but this is only her 15th start and she’s built to carry weight. Good ground is fine.

15:35 Newmarket – The Foxes (The Punt)

THE FOXES got off the mark at the third attempt at Goodwood (7f, good to firm) last July and he followed up in the four-runner Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes over this C&D (good) last September. That was a slowly run race but the form has worked out well and he’s one to consider on his return to action.
