Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
JOKE DANCER won twice at Kelso last spring (2m1f, good) and he’s now 8lb lower than for the second success; not found his best form this winter but should be a more potent force at this level.
Both hurdles wins for SLIP OF THE TONGUE came at 2m but best of four attempts chasing when upped in trip on latest in 2m4f Gowran beginners’; possibly has more to offer upped further in trip here.
Miladygrace has done pretty well for her new stable this season and is respected but KYM EYRE shaped very much as though her turn is near at Ffos Las a fortnight ago, where she had to settle for second behind one with a better turn of foot but travelled strongly for a long way and pulled nicely clear of the third.
Irish point winner; failed to complete on first two starts under rules (favourite on first occasion); a bit more encouragement in latest same course and same distance effort and there’s a good chance HEADS OR HARPS will fare better now handicapping.
