Horse Racing tips: An 11/1 pick leads the line at Kempton today

The Racing Post tipsters like the look of Strong Power in the 20:00.

17:00 – Alaskan
17:30 – Desert Cop
18:00 – Mclean House
18:30 – Master Of Chant
19:00 – Royal Bliss
19:30 – Rogue Force
20:00 – Strong Power
20:30 – Perfect Gentleman (NAP)

17:00 – Alaskan

A maiden handicap in all but name. Preference is for ALASKAN, who had four of these rivals behind him at Southwell two weeks ago and looks open to further progress at this level. Billy’s Joy, who drops to 0-55 grade for the first time, is the suggested second choice ahead of Ok Pal who should be suited by the return to 6f. Harry With Style and Sweet Idea also have possibilities.

17:30 – Desert Cop

All three newcomers have appealing paper claims with High Ovation perhaps the most appealing of them. Razzam (second choice) can confirm last month’s C&D placings with Inspired Knowhow and he looks a key player but DESERT COP took a good step forward when second over 7f here last time and may go one better now dropped to 6f for the first time.

18:00 – Mclean House

The shortlist comprises MCLEAN HOUSE, Creme De Cacao and Starlight Nation in that order of preference. They all showed clear promise last month and look open to progress. As regards the newcomers, any positive market signals should be heeded.

18:30 – Master Of Chant

Not many that make much appeal and MASTER OF CHANT is selected to make a winning start for his new yard. He ran well in a C&D nursery ten weeks ago, his first run over 7f, and that run reads well in the context of this race. Dutch Kingdom and Rogue Thunder (second choice) are open to improvement and can go well, while the consistent Prince Nabeel should make another bold bid too.

19:00 – Royal Bliss

A small field but none of the runners can be confidently ruled out. Lordsbridge Girl and Kensington Agent are in-form older horses but this may fall to one of the 3yos. Abbey’s Dream (second choice) and So Chic are ahead of their mark, while Silver Nightfall dug deep at Newcastle and represents a yard in form. ROYAL BLISS had her momentum checked at a critical point of the race when third here 11 days ago, however, and she looks one to be interested in now back up in trip.

19:30 – Rogue Force

Uzincso didn’t look to have any excuses here last time but he was ridden more prominently than is often the case and his C&D record dictates he needs a second look. Asdaa should give it another good go but the two to appeal most are Painless Potter and ROGUE FORCE. The selection won the corresponding race 12 months ago and his latest run here wasn’t as bad as the distance beaten would suggest.[

20:00 – Strong Power

Spirit Of Nguru (second choice) is interesting on this drop to 6f and he can call upon an unbeaten course record to boot. Silky Wilkie is unlucky not to have won at least once this winter and he looks booked for another good run, while Tolstoy also has the talent to feature. This might fall to STRONG POWER though, with the 6yo still bang there when badly squeezed out inside the final furlong of a Listed race at Lingfield 11 days ago.

20:30 – Perfect Gentleman (NAP)

The vote goes to PERFECT GENTLEMAN (NAP), who made a winning handicap debut here two weeks ago and ought to improve further. Krona (second choice) and Sexy Rexy are interesting upped in distance, while closely matched rivals The Pug and Dovena also enter the reckoning.
