Sheharz performed much better for the fitting of cheekpieces when third here last time and would be a major contender if stepping forward again from that, but preference is for THE RESDEV WAY who is back off the same mark as when winning here in April. He should be all the better for his recent return.

Fellow C&D winners Crownthorpe and Poetic Force look best of the others.

Multiple course winner Chookie Dunedin seems likely to run his race from a good draw and makes the shortlist, as does Madrinho who has dropped 1lb lower than when winning this race last year. However, the unexposed MIN TILL (nap) did it well when winning over C&D on his penultimate start and he makes plenty of appeal returned to this venue. Beattie Is Back and Barneys Gift ane others worth keeping an eye on.
