Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

Ayr-Racing

14:30 Ayr – Vintage Clarets (The Scotsman, Glendale)

VINTAGE CLARETS is a smart 2yo, finishing third in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. Slow start to his 3yo campaign but he was gelded in June and returned to action with a game win at Windsor 16 days ago. Won’t be inconvenienced by the return to 6f and is feasibly weighted despite his penalty. Stable won this with a 3yo back in 2007.

15:40 Ayr – Bielsa (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

BIELSA needed some excuses over the years but he delivered on earlier promise when streaking alone up the stand rail in this race last year. Not yet excelled himself in 2022 but is only just above that winning mark and will have been laid out for this again.

15:51 Newmarket – Themaxwecan (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

THEMAXWECAN was third in this race last year. Emerged from the doldrums to score in the Shergar Cup at Ascot six weeks ago and a 2lb rise still leaves him 5lb lower than he was 12 months ago. That win was his only race under Jamie Spencer, who is back today.

17:10 Newbury – Ascot Adventure (Racing Post, Lambourn)

ASCOT ADVENTURE has won on soft and good, the latter at Haydock in May. Below that level at Goodwood next time but he did well from off the pace there 21 days ago and the return to a more galloping track will suit; sound claims.
