13:45 – Imperial Sachins

IMPERIAL SACHIN’S lost his way for Gordon Elliott but has been revitalised by his new yard, finding plenty for pressure when winning a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last month. He followed up in grand style over fences last time, his effort all the more creditable as he was racing from 8 lb out of the weights, and he remains one to be interested from a lower mark back over timber now. Fellow hat-trick seeker Bright Sunbird returns to handicap company on a mark 11 lb higher than when winning at Uttoxeter in June, but promises to go well again.

14:15 – Sweet Auburn

SWEET AUBURN is a point winner who made a winning start under Rules in a bumper at Sedgefield in December and ran to a similar level in defeat on her next two starts in that sphere. Her jumping wasn’t up to scratch on her hurdling debut at Catterick on her final start in March, making too many novicey mistakes, but she has been given a break since, and she remains with potential for a yard that will have surely done plenty of schooling with her since. Masked Matgil is a lightly-raced bumper winner who is of interest now going hurdling, so is worth a check in the market.

14:45 – Go On Chez

GO ON CHEZ completed a five-timer in a good style at Aintree in June, his jumping not always fluent but having plenty in hand at the finish. He lost his unbeaten record over fences at Uttoxeter last time, but he shaped better than the bare result, a well-run race over a two furlong longer trip than this seemingly stretching his stamina. Go On Chez races from the same mark now and is almost certainly still well handicapped, so he is taken to quickly resume winning ways. Last year’s victor Flying Verse returned to form when runner-up at Stratford and rates much the biggest threat.

15:15 – Northern Bound

NORTHERN BOUND returned to form when resuming winning ways at Worcester in June, stripping fitter for his reappearance and impressing with his accurate jumping. He wasn’t in the same form back over hurdles last time, but he is clearly a much better chaser, and he remains well weighted back in this sphere. Another bold bid is expected. The in-form Fat Sam also returns to this sphere and is next on the list.

15:45 – Fennas Loss

FENNA’S LOSS made a winning start for this yard in a bumper at Hexham in June and followed up on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter last month. That was a weak race, but he won with something in hand, and showed improved form in defeat when runner-up under a penalty at Perth last time. He was beaten by a nice sort that day, so the form looks solid enough for all it was just a three-runner contest, and he should have even more to offer now handicapping. Seaborough and Zamond are feared most.

16:20 – Bridge Road

BRIDGE ROAD remains a maiden, but he has gone close on a couple of occasions at Uttoxeter this summer, and is up to winning a race of this nature. He was strong in the betting and was only beaten a neck on his latest start, just overhauled on the run-in after travelling like the best horse at the weights, and a similar performance may suffice here. One Touch and Kolisi rate the principal dangers.
