The shortlist is headed by last month’s C&D novice winners THERE’S THE DOOR and Disputed, since they are evidently suited by the track and look capable of further improvement. With several possible challengers for the early lead and a strong pace on the cards, this big-field scenario could set up very nicely for ANA GOLD and Canoodled who are taken to fill the first two places in that order. Ana Gold has been knocking at the door this summer, while Canoodled also looks solid on recent form. Rose Barton, Rainbow Colours and Valley Mist are among the possible pacesetters but they look open to further progress and add strong interest to this competitive affair. A few others also have possibilities.
