14:40 – Alenquer
A really good looking contest and you can make a case for most of them. Lord North bounced back to his best when winning at Meydan last time but he was put in his place reasonably comfortably on his previous start by Alenquer. He looks to have trained on really well from three to four and he’s a solid each-way pick.

15:10 – Pearls Galore
Pearls Galore won well in Listed company last month and looks as good as ever. The pick of her form gives her every chance here.
15:45 – Mise En Scene
Tuesday probably improves for the Newmarket run but she didn’t have any excuses on the day. She’s got a decent chance but not an outstanding one and her price is too short. I can see Mise En Scene running well but I don’t know whether stall 1 is a good place to be. She’s definitely the sort to train on well from two to three and James Ferguson has done well this season. I wouldn’t be approaching this with a huge amount of confidence, however.
16:20 – Big Gossey
Big Gossey caught the eye. Stall 1 looks a better one in this race than in the 1000 Guineas. A course-and-distance winner, he took a big step forward when third at Naas last time out and seems to be running into form. If you take Danny Sheehy’s claim into account, he’s essentially off the same mark as when winning here last September.
