13:10 – Grey’s Monument
Courageous Knight and Maxi King, among others, are interesting newcomers, but this could go to GREY’S MONUMENT who was well backed prior to last month’s debut at Windsor but came up short in the speed department over 5f. He earns the vote now upped to 6f, ahead of Maxi King for the flying team of Dave Loughnane and Amo Racing Limited.

13:40 – Empress Sheba
Kevin Ryan’s sprint handicappers always need a close look and his Sweet Glance looks sure to be suited by the step up in trip now she switches to handicap company. Judy’s Park looks solid to go well with William Buick up for the first time but EMPRESS SHEBA could go well at a price. She was rather unlucky not to make a winning handicap debut here last summer and had another luckless run on her reappearance at Thirsk. Dreams Of Thunder is also respected.
14:10 – King Of Jungle
Despite looking an awkward ride, KING OF JUNGLE made some good late headway over 5f at Thirsk last time and he’s been gelded since. He could take a big step forwards now back up to 6f. Fantasy Navigator is Mick Appleby’s first runner in this race since he won it in 2016 and 2017, and he may be the main danger. Fast ground may not have suited Hooked On You at Pontefract and she’s next on the list.
14:40 – Kalamity Kitty
The thriving 4yo KALAMITY KITTY (nap) could find further improvement for this step up to 2m and she’s taken to land the four-timer. The admirably consistent Yagood is second choice ahead of Wynford, for whom the step back up in trip is a positive.

15:10 – Irresistable
The form of the Haydock novice in which IRRESISTABLE was fourth last month has worked out well, with the winner Nashwa landing Listed honours at Newbury on Saturday and the third Love Interest occupying the same position in a Listed race at York last week, and an opening mark of 71 may well underestimate the William Haggas-trained filly. She is preferred to Indy Moon, who stayed on well when fifth of 15 over 1m1f on her recent handicap debut at Hamilton, and for whom this extra furlong looks a likely plus. Yummylicious and Phantasy Mac are other likely players.
15:40 – Atheby
Foursome is an interesting debutante for William Haggas but ATHEBY is taken to get off the mark at the tenth attempt, having shown some solid form in better races than this. After Foursome, fellow newcomer Rampage is next on the list ahead of Dubai Immo.

16:10 – Kind Gesture
The Roger Varian-trained KIND GESTURE is the first foal of the stable’s 9.5f Listed winner Dawn Of Hope and makes her debut in a very winnable race. Three Diamonds is open to improvement, having been gelded since his sole 2yo run, and he may be the chief danger ahead of Pearl Reef and Pink Carnation.
16:45 – Cantebury Bell
The well-bred William Haggas-trained CANTERBURY BELL was awarded a Newmarket novice on her final 2yo start and is open to plenty of improvement this season. Most of these have something to prove and She’s The Danger, who was a solid fourth in a C&D handicap ten days ago, is aptly named.
