A few here with the ability to win races include Igraine, unlucky not to win a race so far, and the Listed placed Gentleman Joe who is capable of better than he has shown to date. Preference is for hurdles newcomer MITIVA who impressed in a Thurles bumper and looks a potentially very useful recruit to hurdles.
Quite a bit of deadwood here. Nos Na Gaoithe has been quite highly campaigned in bumpers and has very solid claims here. It might be worth taking a chance with CALL HER NOW who changed hands for significant money after winning her point last year and could be useful. The selection’s trainer, Lorna Fowler, had a maiden hurdle winner on Thursday.
Everything in this contest has some sort of chance. The consistent Kashi would have a big chance if some rain arrives, while trip and ground will suit Fanoir. It took HUNTINGTOWN some time to fulfill his initial promise but it came good at Kilbeggan last time and he can follow up here.
Bring The Bacon lacks a recent run but has run well fresh in the past and rates a major threat but preference is for THE TACK ROOM who caught the eye staying on strongly at the death at Fairyhouse over Easter. John Kiely’s charge is unexposed and could well have more to offer here. Plenty of others with chances, including Kells Priory and Tullyveery Lad.

Not the strongest of races. Chiricahua has the ability and the rating but is unproven over the trip. Less concerns over the trip lie with Eyre Square and Coconut Tudor. The one to plum with could be FRIENDSN COMMERCE (nap) who didn’t run badly over this trip last time but the better ground will be in his favour this time.
A runaway winner on his recent chasing debut for his new yard, it will be interesting to see if EMANCIPATOR can follow up back over hurdles here on this better ground. Command Chain is another encountering quicker ground here but arrives on the back of a good Punchestown run and his yard is in fine form. Towards the foot of the handicap, Stellar Stow could go well.
Very little form to go on but GAOTH CHUIL showed enough on her Tramore debut to suggest she can win a bumper and with the big stables absent she can take her chance here with Derek O’Connor now aboard. Of the newcomers, the Jamie Codd-ridden Slip Jig could run well, while Jody Townend is an interesting booking for Matilda Park, who faces an easier task than on her recent Fairyhouse debut.
