13:50 – Amenon
The standard is set by AMENON, who went close in a handicap two starts ago and wasn’t discredited when suffering an odds-on defeat back in novice company last month. Haribo Collonges was rather disappointing on his second start but showed more than enough promise on his debut to suggest he can win a race of this nature. Salvino should also feature, while rules debutant Grey Market represents a much respected stable and is another one to worry about.

14:25 – Lakota Warrior
It may pay to concentrate on the two last-time-out winners at the bottom of the weights. Shantou Lucky took a leap forward with his Clonmel success last month and commands respect on his first outing in Britain, but LAKOTA WARRIOR has at least as much potential and can follow up his impressive Doncaster victory. The veteran Uncle Alastair appeals most of the remainder.
15:00 – Coach Carter (NAP)
The pick of this quintet is the Irish raider COACH CARTER (nap) who posted a personal best at Ayr and looks the one to beat off just 2lb higher. Casa Tall has had a luckless spell recently and could pose the main danger if avoiding mishaps this time. Sao, runner-up in this race 12 months ago, is third choice.

15:35 – Famous Bridge
The suggestion in this very interesting Listed race is FAMOUS BRIDGE, who was nicely in command of a next-time-out winner when taking a good-quality Kelso handicap last month and now moves back into novice company. Complete Unknown displayed a good jolt of improvement to win the always-competitive EBF final at Sandown in March and is second choice but Mahler Mission and The Goffer also have Graded wins on their CVs, while Galia Des Liteaux created a very good impression on her rules debut and remains unexposed.
16:10 – Zambella
Old rivals Pink Legend and ZAMBELLA meet again and this time Nigel Twiston-Davies’ 7yo can come out on top, having faded into fourth at the Cheltenham Festival with Pink Legend two places ahead. The selection ran well over 3m at this meeting last year despite not convincing fully with her stamina. The others face uphill tasks at the weights, the pick of them being Daphne Moon.

16:41 – Corey’s Courage
Gordon Elliott’s unexposed mare Getaway Goldie didn’t take to chasing last summer but she remains unexposed and can’t be opposed with any confidence. However, the most obvious answer is COREY’S COURAGE, who created a good impression when winning her first three hurdle starts and doesn’t look harshly treated on today’s handicap debut. Timetoroe, Island Mahee and Rubytwo (preferred in that order) all come here after very creditable recent efforts.
17:16 – Beep Beep
One with potential is handicap debutant BEEP BEEP, who made an inauspicious start to his career but seems to be heading in the right direction now. Dequall, who has slipped to a good mark, is next on the list.
