13:55 – Ballybough Native
BALLYBOUGH NATIVE created a good impression when landing a bumper on his debut for Ian McCarthy at Tipperary in March last year, barely needing to come off the bridle to score by 13 lengths. He was subsequently sold for £195,000 and has moved to Henry de Bromhead’s powerhouse stable so is of obvious interest on his hurdling debut here. Level Neverending failed to impress with his jumping and attitude when turned over at a very short price over course and distance a couple of weeks ago, but he has ability and the application of cheekpieces could help, so he appeals as the main danger.
14:30 – Aloneamongmillions
ALONEAMONGMILLIONS won a point at Turtulla in January and followed that up with a convincing success in a hunter chase at Gowran Park last month. Aloneamongmillions looked as good as ever at Gowran and was always in control after taking over on the home turn. He holds strong claims on the back of that victory.

15:05 – Chelseas Friend
CHELSEAS FRIEND, a dual winner at around three miles over hurdles, was dropped markedly in trip for her chasing debut at Wexford last month but she shaped nicely to finish third in that two-mile beginners’ chase for mares. Chelseas Friend took well to chasing, running at least as well as she ever has, and she is entitled to improve a bit now stepping back up in trip and moving back into handicap company.
15:40 – Rightplacerightime
Sloppy jumping has hampered RIGHTPLACERIGHTIME the last twice but this is a much less competitive affair than the events he contested at Leopardstown and Cheltenham, so there won’t be as much pressure placed on his technique here. Rightplacerightime registered a comfortable win in a beginners’ chase here in November and he remains relatively unexposed as a handicap chaser for Grand National-winning trainer Emmet Mullins.

16:15 – Belle Metal
BELLE METAL created an excellent impression in bumpers last year, winning with plenty to spare on her debut at Naas before following up with ease in a listed event at Limerick. Belle Metal failed to meet expectations on her first couple of starts over hurdles at Navan, finishing fifth both times, but she got off the mark at the same venue last month and looks capable of building on that success. That win was achieved over two miles but Belle Metal promises to be suited by a step up in trip, so this much stiffer test could unlock some improvement, while her bumper exploits suggest she can prove better than this opening mark.

16:50 – Iberique du Seuil
IBERIQUE DU SEUIL showed a willing attitude when getting off the mark at Cork in December, beating a few subsequent winners in a decent event. He failed to build on that when third in a conditions event over this course and distance in January, but he shaped with promise on his handicap debut in the Boodles at Cheltenham last month. Iberique du Seuil was only seventh at Cheltenham but he had little chance the way that race developed as he was held up in rear in a race run at a crawl. There was a lot to like about the way he made progress down the hill and he could have a bigger effort in his locker under more favourable circumstances.
17:25 – Cnoc Na Si
CNOC NA SI is out of a half-sister to top-class chaser Bellshill and she shaped with plenty of promise on her debut at Limerick on Boxing Day, for all she was unable to justify strong support. Cnoc Na Si, the 8/11 favourite, couldn’t reel in the enterprisingly-ridden winner, who soon established a clear advantage, but she stuck to her task well and pulled 13 lengths clear of the third. She is entitled to build on that and is the choice of Patrick Mullins, so she earns the vote.
