It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
13:00 Ayr – Hasty Brook (Daily Post, Mercury)
Third on the first of 2 bumper outings last March and made a successful switch to hurdles at Clonmel (17f) in January for Joseph O’Brien. Solid start for new yard when second over 20.5f here last month. Up in trip again. Should go well.
14:40 Ayr – Caboy (888Sport, Steve Mullington)
Found his run of good form coming to an abrupt halt at Ayr but type to bounce back after a break with headgear back on.
16:45 Newmarket – Mr Alan (Ipswich Star, Matt Polley)
Confirmed debut promise when winning Ayr maiden in September and improved again when fourth in listed race at Deauville final start. Opening mark looks on the high side, however, so needs to progress again.
18:30 Dundalk – Oh So Lovely (Morning Star, Farringdon)
Galileo filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including high-class 1m-10.4f winner Mukhadram, useful 7f-9.5f winner Woodland Aria and useful 1½m-16.5f winner Entihaa. Irish Oaks entry and 1 of 3 newcomers for Ballydoyle.
