Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
HAMILTON DICI jumped well when winning on seasonal, handicap and chase debut at Warwick (2m4f, good to soft) in November. Not quite in same form on slow ground twice since and these will be the quickest conditions he has encountered, but he still has low mileage.
NORA THE XPLORER showed improved form when winning on stable debut at Sedgefield (2m4f, good) in January and went close under a penalty there (2m4f, good to soft) last Tuesday. Shaped last time as though she may be suited by today’s step up in trip, and she might also be the type to benefit from the cheekpieces.
JUST THE MAN opened hurdling his account over C&D (good) in October and bettered that performance when close/clear second to a next-time-out winner at Hereford (2m, good) in January. Soundly beaten on the Flat this month but still considered.
HARBANAKER was a C&D winner in January and probably found 7f on the sharp side on latest, but still managed a creditable third. The stable in great form at present.
