A win is proving elusive for both Cartonne and PARISENCORE but this should be an excellent opportunity for one of them to get off the mark. Preference is for Parisencore, who was below par last time but holds appealing claims on his earlier efforts.
A warm little race featuring some progressive novices. Having won over 2m3f at Ffos Las last month, SOLDIER OF DESTINY (nap) travelled well over 2m7f at Newbury last time, where he had been joined when making a bad mistake at the final fence, and he can make amends now back down in distance. Brief Ambition is 2-2 over fences and is feared most on his return from a break, with fellow hat-trick-seeker Burrows Diamond next on the list.
The return to better ground is a positive for HURRICANE ALI and he can capitalise on a bit of help from the handicapper. The 4yo Sacre Pierre is second choice having won in good style at Sedgefield last time. The unexposed East Street had an excuse on his handicap debut at Catterick and is another to consider in an open race, along with L’Incorrigible and Finisk River.
The youngster TIM PAT is top of the list given his potential in today’s hat-trick bid, despite going beyond 3m for the first time and having raced only on softer than good so far under rules. Last year’s winner Chef D’Oeuvre is well handicapped granted a revival and Generator City is also considered.
Sedgefield winner Nora The Xplorer could benefit from the step up in trip and the first-time cheekpieces but fellow previous winner LETTHETRUTHBEKNOWN has stronger form and gets the nod.

Godrevy Point has to be of major interest on his handicap debut, despite his major struggle to win at long odds-on five weeks ago. However, preference is for PHIL DE PAIL who would have a good chance if his new tongue-tie deals with the breathing problem which may well have caused his poor show last time out. River Walk is third on the list.
