Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
CAMACHESS was a 6f winner here in November off 1lb lower. Several creditable efforts in defeat since, including when out-running her 200-1 odds in a 7f conditions event at Chelmsford 15 days ago. Has the ability to play a big part in this.
TANARPINO has been inconsistent and pulled up at Haydock last time in December. However, earlier that month he was a close second at Bangor (3m, soft), and he won there (2m4f, good) last August. Capable of playing a part if on a going day.
ICONE D’AUBRELLE has Cheltenham entries and won on hurdle debut in France in September. Seemingly failed to live up to that form when 5-4 favourite at Doncaster (2m, good) three weeks ago when his jumping could have been a lot more fluent. Very early days, though, and he’s a major player here with any improvement from that latest run.
JOKE DANCER returned to form at Wetherby (1m7f, soft) last month when third of six on his first start since having wind surgery. There’s a slight doubt about this step back up in trip but he can be thereabouts if seeing it out.
