17:00 – Classy Dame
C&D winner Kingson should be suited by the return to this trip, while recent Chelmsford scorer Smokey Malone would have a solid chance if getting a good pace to aim at. However, CLASSY DAME is taken to make a winning debut for Archie Watson with the form of her recent starts having worked out so well.

17:30 – Atiyah
Following her all-the-way success on stable debut at Chelmsford last time Cuban Breeze has to make the shortlist, as does Buy Me Back who has dropped to an attractive mark. Scale Force can never be left out of calculations around here but dual C&D winner ATIYAH looks the one to side with from her good draw, especially as she may have performed even better than it looked when fourth at Newcastle last time.
18:00 – Lovely Mana
This is competitive and Dusky Prince looks sure to go well after a somewhat luckless run at Newcastle recently. Hot Diggity Dog is also respected on his recent 6f form but perhaps LOVELY MANA can make a good start for her new yard. She acts well here and the return to this trip may be a good thing after holding her place for a long way in a Newmarket Listed event when last seen in October.
18:30 – Witch Hunter
Having made such an encouraging debut over C&D in December, Cityjet would have a major chance in a normal race of this type. However, WITCH HUNTER brings some very smart 2yo turf form that includes a close second in a Listed contest. Provided he is straight enough on this return he must take all the beating. Archie Watson introduced the smart Dragon Symbol to win this race last year so it will be interesting to see how Twelfth Knight fares in the market on debut.

19:00 – Base Note
The key to this may be the 1m2f contest at Lingfield this month in which BASE NOTE made all to beat Ask Peter by 5l. The latter is 7lb better off here and is bred to appreciate this extra distance, but the winner still didn’t look the finished article last time so is taken to confirm the placings.
19:30 – Beau Geste
The unexposed pair Rockinovertheworld and Tribuna Uffizi may each have a bit more to offer, while Miss Sligo is a contender on the basis that she comes into this in better form than most. However, this can go to BEAU GESTE who has won three times around here and seemed to stay well enough when third on his first attempt at the trip over C&D last time.
20:00 – Shabs
Having won two of his last three starts Storm Asset has to be taken seriously but preference is for SHABS (nap) who was beaten just a nose on his handicap debut over C&D where he had Baileys Eminence back in third. He races off the same mark and may well step forward again. Vive La Reine and Twilight Tone haven’t shown much thus far but there are reasons to think they could do better now switched to modest handicap company.
20:30 – Macs Dilemma
Million Reasons has been going great guns since returned to 6f and although there is a slight query about whether this trip suits as well he could get away with it in another ordinary race. However, there are reasons to be hopeful about MACS DILEMMA, who made a winning start for this yard over C&D and shaped promisingly from well off the pace here last time. Street Poet can also be involved.
