13:30 – Fazayte
Kingston King dug deep to win over C&D last month and Altumanina displayed significant improvement when second in that race but chasing debutant FAZAYTE ran well in much stronger contest than this over hurdles last month and, if he jumps soundly, he could have too much class for this field. Altumanina is second choice.

14:00 – Ballycross
It’s easy to make a strong case for Clondaw Promise, who has won his last two and remains lightly raced over fences, but slight preference is for BALLYCROSS, who is yet to win for Nicky Henderson but ran well when fresh a year ago and returns from his latest layoff on a good mark. One Fer Mamma moves up in grade after last month’s breakthrough win but still has low mileage.
14:30 – Reilly
Dan Skelton’s REILLY was turned over at short odds on his latest outing in November but, after the winner bolted up over Christmas, that piece of form now looks much better than it did at the time. He is taken to open his account today but Contemplatemyfaith won’t go down without a fight if back on song, while Irish point winner Barrowdale is an interesting prospect for novice hurdles.

15:00 – Green Vault
A market move for Irish point winner Diakosaint could put a different complexion on this race but, otherwise, GREEN VAULT has an excellent chance to complete a quick double. The topweight won with authority on his handicap debut at Ayr on Sunday and competes off the same mark here.
15:30 – Hart Of Steel
Eaton Collina has been dropped a very helpful 5lb since his encouraging third at Ffos Las last May and remains lightly raced but it can pay to give another chance to HART OF STEEL (nap), who found a Haydock Class 2 race too hot last time but didn’t run anywhere near as badly as his eventual 31l defeat might suggest and is now only 1lb higher than when winning at Carlisle in October.

16:00 – Billams Legacy
This can go to Wetherby bumper winner BILLAMS LEGACY, who made a promising seasonal/hurdle debut at Wincanton on Boxing Day and ought to build on that performance here. Former Flat-racer Rock Of Fame ran very well when placed in a big-field novice hurdle on good to soft ground in November but we can’t be sure she’ll cope with today’s slower conditions. Good-ground bumper winner Corey’s Courage also needs to prove she handles slow ground.
