Returning here, another chance can be given to TERRIERMAN. He was runner-up on his last visit in November and the two horses he divided have won again since. Itacare promises to be well suited by today’s conditions and this longer trip, so he’s second choice. Voyburg is next best.

12:50 Fuji Flight

It was a good handicap in which FUJI FLIGHT finished third at Lingfield and it’s not hard to forgive him his heavier defeat against seasoned handicappers in an always-strong Class 2 handicap at Haydock. Coeur Serein is his most likely danger after an encouraging start to his career over fences. Illegal Model is perhaps the dark horse of the race.

13:20 KissesforKatie

This may be a far sterner test than here ten days ago for KISSESFORKATIE but seldom are handicaps won with such authority under top weight and she can follow up. Blackjack Magic travelled like the best horse in the race on his handicap debut before tiring on the heavy ground and he’s the danger. Not that any of the six can be dismissed with confidence.

13:55 Langley Hundred

There’s no depth to this maiden. Dancing With Deco sets the standard and has standout claims, but LANGLEY HUNDRED shaped better than his final finishing position suggests here in early December and he should, at the very least, make a race of it.

14:30 Musical Slave (NAP)

Although a competitive handicap, this is nothing compared with some of the tasks that faced MUSICAL SLAVE (nap) last season. He returns having undergone a wind operation, has run well after breaks in the past and is temptingly handicapped again. Ede’iffs Elton is feared most despite his near miss at Wincanton coming at the cost of 5lb, while Poker Play also needs shortlisting back over fences.

15:05 Lightonthewing

This can go to LIGHTONTHEWING who was a different horse the last time he raced on testing ground, when coming well clear of some respectable opposition at Wincanton last February. Sienna Royale is next on the list although multiple point winner Raddon Top is worth a look now handicapping and Just Go For It is another who will like the conditions. Fenrir Binding had a bad experience over fences last month but the return to hurdles offers hope.

15:35 Gosuatri

Do Ya Feel Lucky was a shade disappointing at Doncaster recently and preference is for GOSUATRI, a likeable third on his handicap hurdle debut at Chepstow before finding fences not to his liking last month. Bellamy’s Grey surely has a hurdle race in him and he is the main danger following an excellent third here four weeks ago. Galactic Power can go well fresh and is preferred of the remainder.

16:05 Cruz Control

The form of CRUZ CONTROL’s second at Chepstow has worked out well and, sent off a solid 4-1 chance that day, a big effort was evidently expected from him. Feast is no doubt capable of better than he showed in a messy race on his debut and he’s feared most.
