12:45 – Dr T J Eckleburg
Question marks surround quite a few of these so it looks a good opportunuity for DR T J ECKLEBURG to build on the promise of his Newbury hurdle debut second. Imperial Sun achieved enough on the Flat to suggest he could make an impact in a race like this if taking to this new discipline so he’s feared most ahead of Illico des Places, who needs to settle a lot better than he did at Kempton.

13:15 – Demachine
A useful contest. DEMACHINE was possibly just stretched by 3¼m in the Ladbrokes Trophy on his Newbury reappearance but this is a sharper test at the trip, and a less competitive race, so Kerry Lee’s top weight is fancied to make his class tell. Castle Robin was a touch underwhelming at Wetherby but remains open to progress and is second choice ahead of Legends Gold.
13:45 – One For You
ONE FOR YOU has progressed in handicap hurdles and, on the back of a solid third on return at Newbury, he was undone by a mid-race error when midfield in a 14-runner event back at that venue in November. A previous winner around here, he’s of interest from this mark and earns the vote. Khan is enjoying a productive season and feared, along with Ffos Las scorer Treasure Dillon.
13:45 – Jet Plane
JET PLANE holds the edge on form and is fancied to make amends for his last-flight fall at Warwick and open his account at the chief expense of Go Sacre Go who should ensure Dan Skelton’s 6-y-o doesn’t have things all his own way if backing up his good Ascot third. Wrong Shape Ball appeals as the pick of the remainder for place purposes.
14:45 – Bridge North
BRIDGE NORTH arrives on the up and is confidently expected to build on his fine C&D second and open his account at the fourth attempt. Both Has Troke and Moonlight Flit were running well when taking final-flight falls at Market Rasen and Ffos Las respectively and look the two to give Henry Daly’s 6-y-o most to do, in that order.
15:15 – Java Point
A winner over hurdles last term, JAVA POINT stepped up on his yard/chase debut effort when runner-up to a resurgent sort at Doncaster in December and a repeat should see him firmly in the mix again. Jimmy The Digger and Isolate may be the pair to give him most to think about.

15:45 – Peerless Beauty
PEERLESS BEAUTY has been running to a fair level and is the percentage call. Jaunty Zing and Jamie Snowden pair Ebonello and You Wear It Well are newcomers to monitor in the betting, while Mullenbeg finished second in a couple of Irish points last year and has joined an in-form stable ahead of this Rules debut.
