Preference is for FIRST LOTT, whose latest effort has substance and who remains on a workable mark (her sole turf success came off 4lb higher). Khatwah (second choice) and Algheed are the chief threats on recent form.
17:00 – Misscall
The form standard is set by MISSCALL, who pulled clear of the remainder when third over C&D last time. Bare Necessity (second choice) and Shurut are likely dangers granted normal improvement. Market support for newcomer Sharron Macready should be heeded.
17:30 – Fennaan
The looks a good time to catch FENNAAN, who hasn’t won since 2019 but now makes his debut for Mick Appleby off a very handy mark. He could well regain the winning thread for his new yard. Second choice is Eligible who, like the selection, remains well handicapped. Handicap debutant Old Port looks interesting, while My Brother Mike and Universal Effect were in great form when last seen.
18:00 – Dark Pine
Quirky customer Fox Tal has the clear best chance at the weights back down in grade but it remains to be seen whether he gets the job done. He carries his head high, doesn’t seem to knuckle down properly and hasn’t won since 2019. Admittedly he may not need to perform to his best but a tempting alternative is DARK PINE, who nabbed Fox Tal in the final strides at Chester last May and has a solid AW record. Kenzai Warrior also warrants respect.
18:30 – Ooh Is It
There may be more to come from OOH IS IT, who has been largely progressive since last June. He gets the vote over Roydmoor, who ties in with the selection on C&D form in December. Show Me A Sunset is third choice, ahead of closely matched rivals Atiyah and Charming Kid.

19:00 – Knowwhentorun
Some of the maidens may be capable of improvement and a couple of the others look well treated back down in class, so it may not be plain sailing for Hooflepuff who has an obvious chance at first glance. Tapeta debutant KNOWWHENTORUN may be the answer off a reduced mark and with George Rooke taking off a useful 3lb. Second choice is Lough Cutra.
