12:00 Horantzau d’Airy
HORANTZAU D’AIRY won a maiden bumper at Fontainebleau in September last year for Hugo Merienne, despite pulling very hard, and he is of obvious interest having joined Willie Mullins. He has a lengthy absence to overcome for his hurdles debut, but fitness is rarely an issue for horses hailing from this powerhouse yard. Mullins, whose horses are in superb order at present, won this last year with Gaillard du Mesnil.

12:35 Priory Park
The lightly-raced PRIORY PARK showed much improved form on his second start in handicap company at Thurles last month, winning with more in hand than the three-quarter length margin would suggest.
Mark Walsh didn’t have to get serious with Priory Park, who was headed after pecking on landing after the last, but got up inside the final 50 yards to win cosily. The form of that contest has already started to work out well and the unexposed Priory Park can defy an 8lbs rise in the weights.

13:10 Ardhill
Ardhill is first reserve and needs one to come out, but he will be a big player if getting a run. He was a hugely impressive winner of a handicap hurdle at Ascot 10 days ago, making a mockery of his handicap mark. A 13lbs rise in the weights may not be enough to stop him if in similar form. He looked a long way ahead of the handicapper at Ascot.
If Ardhill fails to make the cut A Great View looks worth siding with. He is on a losing run which stretches back to 2018, but has been given a chance by the handicapper and ran well when runner-up at Navan a few weeks ago. He is up to making a big impact from his current mark.
13:45 Flooring Porter
FLOORING PORTER sprang a minor surprise when landing this race last season, but he showed there was no fluke about the performance when repeating the successful front-running tactics in the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Flooring Porter was disappointing at the Punchestown Festival, where he was pulled up after racing too keenly and failing to impress with his jumping. However, he probably would have made a winning return at Navan last month had he not fallen at the second-last when still in front and going well. Encouragement can be taken from how strongly he went through that race at Navan until his departure, and he can gain compensation here.

14:20 A Plus Tard
A PLUS TARD won the Savills Chase 12 months ago and can follow up last year’s win. He stayed on strongly to beat Kemboy by half a length, announcing his arrival on the staying scene, and he then put up an even better performance in defeat when chasing home stablemate Minella Indo in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. A Plus Tard, who is still only seven, was hugely impressive when easily winning the Betfair Chase on his reappearance last month and he can prove a cut above his rivals.
14:55 Galopin des Champs
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS initially failed to meet expectations after joining Willie Mullins, suffering short-price defeats on his first couple of starts, but he was thriving in the spring and followed up a ready win in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham with a 12-length success in Grade 1 company at Punchestown. Those performances identify Galopin des Champs as one of the most exciting prospects for novice chases this season, and he can make a winning start over fences.
15:30 Redemption Day
REDEMPTION DAY, a £40,000 purchase as a two-year-old, is out of a half-sister to Champion Bumper winner Cheltenian and makes obvious appeal on paper ahead of his debut for Willie Mullins. Mullins, who won this race last year, has a formidable record in bumpers and is operating at around a 35% strike rate in such events at Leopardstown over the last five seasons.
