12:15 Ludlow – Green Book (Racing Post, The Punt)
GREEN BOOK was a useful stayer on the Flat and is upwardly mobile over hurdles. The selection again made the odd mistake but still won in convincing fashion at Haydock on Saturday. Escapes a penalty and should be just as effective over today’s longer trip and is very much the one to beat.
12:30 Wolverhampton – Little Emma Loulou – (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)
LITTLE EMMA LOULOU has shown some ability on her first three runs, at up to 7.4f (including on Tapeta), and her useful pedigree firmly indicates she’ll relish this step up in trip on her handicap debut and first run since September.
14:15 Ludlow – Smarty Wild (Cambridge Evening News, Luke Tucker)
SMARTY WILD has just one win from eight attempts over fences but he shaped quite well when fifth to Dublin Four at Newbury on his reappearance. Didn’t go with much fluency after an early mistake last time but he’s been dropped another 2lb and could have a say if seeing out today’s longer trip.
18:00 Southwell – Sycamore (Morning Star, Farringdon)
SYCAMORE has claims on his peak 7f form for Martyn Meade but he wasn’t at his best on recent stable debut over C&D (first run after wind surgery). May have needed that after a break.
