Haseefah made the perfect start over hurdles in September, while the best of Lilly Pedlar’s increasingly mixed record reads well. However, they concede 7lb to HEVA ROSE, who accumulated plenty of jumping experience in the mud in France, and to the bumper winners Game On For Glory (second on the list) and Corey’s Courage, with Phillapa Sue another one to consider.
13:30 Valentine’s Turf
The most solid option appears to be recent C&D runner-up VALENTINE’S TURF. Two recent results count against Postman, who should be well handicapped, so greater threats are probably the unexposed Get Bye, who makes his handicap debut, and fellow chase debutant Fanfaron Dino who sparked once for a smooth win last season.
14:00 Naturally High
Being brought out again so quickly asks a question of NATURALLY HIGH but he’s a promising hurdler who still has plenty of mileage in this mark given how good he was on the Flat. Ten Past Midnight, who’s on a four-timer, would be the obvious beneficiary if the selection fails to fire.
14:30 Grand Turina
Three of these return from long absences with Indian Brave perhaps the pick of them. Bill And Barn should run well but if GRAND TURINA puts in a clear round, she could prove the answer, ahead of Native Robin.

There should be little between Give Us A Swig and Hang Tough again, with the latter fancied to reverse the placings. He may prove the main danger to BANANA JOE, who looks ready to strike if his jumping stands the test. Don Herbager is also considered.
15:30 Brorson (NAP)
A cracking contest for the grade with plenty of possibilities. Handicap debutants Blackjack Magic and Its Gonnahappen could be well treated while Ffos Las faller Sermando will be a real threat if none the worse for that. He could prove the danger to BRORSON (nap), who has been crying out for a longer trip and can gain a first success over hurdles.
