12:03 – Rowdy Rustler
The consistent Kavanaghs Cross has the best hurdles form but there are some interesting alternatives, notably likely improver ROWDY RUSTLER whose rules debut effort has been boosted by a stablemate since. Hurdles debutant Conceroe and intriguing newcomer Urblereagh are others to note.

12:33 – Overcourt
The starting point has to be Breaking The Ice following his two impressive wins over C&D but he may be confronted by a much improved performance from the lightly raced OVERCOURT now that Sandy Thomson’s charge is back over fences and moves up in trip. Who’s In The Box and last year’s runner-up Gipsy Lee Rose are third and fourth on the list, with both now having a run under their belts this season.
13:03 – Weststreet
There are major negatives in Big River’s overall record but his record at Kelso and his performance here last time out are both entirely positive, so it wouldn’t be a great surprise if this race were to prove one of his rare wins in recent years. Topweight Almazhar Garde is the youngster in this field and he’s a promising staying prospect, but preference is for one of the old timers in WESTSTREET (nap) whose latest start (only his second for Gordon Elliott) suggested that he may well be about to recapture his former glories over long distances. Big River is feared most, with last year’s winner Dino Boy fourth on the list.
13:35 – Doyen Breed
In a small but fascinating field, DOYEN BREED probably has least to prove having made a successful chase debut over 3m last time out. Bushypark, last season’s high-profile improver over hurdles, is feared most.

14:10 – The Player Queen
It is yet to be proved in form terms but THE PLAYER QUEEN shapes as if she is a class act and she can remain unbeaten. Flower Of Scotland would be easily the chief danger if she is judged on her chase form but the more recent, hurdling evidence suggests that it’s Motown Maggie who is most likely to follow the selection home. West End Lady is also in the mix for minor honours.
14:43 – Grand Voyage
The unexposed GRAND VOYAGE is taken to defy top weight and open his account. He made an encouraging handicap debut here last month and that form was boosted when the winner followed up next time. Geonice has solid claims and is second choice, ahead of possible improvers The Jad Factor, Fever Roque and Tartan Cookie.

15:13 – Malpas
Wor Verge is in great form and not passed over at all lightly, particularly as the introduction of cheekpieces may have helped him keep his head in front last time. Slight preference, however, is for MALPAS after he ran out of steam over 2m4f on his latest outing. Blooriedotcom needs to return in good form after his 437-day absence but he is feared most among the rest.
