This is not a good Maiden but I keep coming back to Collective Power, who ran well in Dundalk on Wednesday night. He travelled well before fading slightly to finish third. There’s a race in him and dropping down to 5f will suit him. He’s got a good draw too in stall one.
This is a trappy race and you could make a case for the likes of Guild, Hurricane Alex and Tooreen Angel. However, I’m going with Golden Twilight, who’s trained by Mick Halford. He won impressively at the Curragh in August but he’s dropped down to 73 now. The 1m4f trip will really suit him and he’s down in grade.
Dark Note ran really well on his debut on testing ground at Tipperary in October. He’s back on the polytrack at Dundalk on Friday with a solid run under his belt. He’s going to take a lot of beating and the Joseph O’Brien runner is my NAP!
This is a really solid race and Oodnadatta will be right near the top of the betting but I like River Eden. She was just behind Oodnadatta in Naas in October and already has a win at Dundalk to her name. She’s back down to 1m and on her best surface. That’ll do me.
Zozimus will be a popular pick after his impressive run at Newmarket but he’s not reliable enough for me, so I’ll go with Ozymandis, who was just beaten at Dundalk in October. He’s gone up 4lbs for that run and he could show plenty of improvement.
Joseph O’Brien’s Osraige is worth keeping an eye on as he makes his debut but the form favours Knocklane Lass, who’s trained by Ger Lyons. She should take quite a bit of beating despite being drawn out in stall 13. She will love this track and she can hopefully build on her impressive second-place finish at Naas in October.
This seems wide open but I’ve landed on Rosie Rock for Adrian McGuinness. She was unlucky here in October when finishing third. I fancy her to bounce back and get her head in front here.
