SHES SOME DOLL made a fine start to her chase career when second at Killarney last month and may be capable of going one better now. Pretty Little Liar arrives on the back of a hurdle win at Fairyhouse and is respected along with Gordon Elliott chase newcomer Ever So Cool. Withallduerespect is likely better than she showed on chase debut and also makes the shortlist.

12:45 Defan

DEFAN has gone up 8lbs for his Listowel success, but he remains unexposed in this sphere and may well take another step forward. He gets the nod ahead of Golden Jewel, who hit the crossbar off a significantly higher hurdles mark at Kilbeggan when last seen in June. Benefit Street was below par behind Defan last time, but he is capable of better and merits respect, along with Ricky Langford.

13:20 Manisanda

Probably not a strong mares’ maiden with the vote in favour of hurdling debutante MANISANDA. She showed fairly useful form in bumpers during the spring, latterly when fifth in a Grade 3, and rates the type to make her mark over timber. Golden Bidar and Bubbles In May are others to consider, along with the returning Beth Horan.

13:50 Fair Minded

The way FAIR MINDED kept on for second despite a poor position at Galway a month ago suggests she’s back in top form and from just 1lb higher, she looks poised to strike. Lessaidthebetter has more to offer for his new yard and is second choice, with Mist On The Bog one to consider at likely longer odds.

14:20 Betty Zane

An opening-looking handicap with the vote going to BETTY ZANE, who promises to be suited by this step up in trip after shaping as if in need of a stiffer test when fourth on her handicap debut at Punchestown last month. De Lady In Red’s opening mark looks a fair one judged on her Roscommon win and she remains unexposed, with Misty Millie another to consider back hurdling.

14:55 Idas Boy

IDAS BOY fetched six figures after his point win and made a promising start over hurdles when third at Punchestown a year ago. He’s been off the track since, but returns with his yard in form and he looks the way to go. Ingenious Stroke and Highland Sting are also likely to improve and are feared most.

15:30 Keepthefaithinme

Only a handful make any serious appeal with KEEPTHEFAITHINME selected to build on his promising third on debut at Limerick 25 days ago. Things couldn’t be going much better for Gordon Elliott, so he gets the vote to score second time up. Castlehill Boy is feared most if able to reproduce the form of his penultimate effort, ahead of Beeverstown Bullet.
