Most of these have something to prove regarding the trip or surface in an open race. WELL PREPARED has had excuses since his fairly cosy Lingfield win and this mark should not be beyond him. Havana Dawn kept pressing until well inside the final furlong at Newbury recently and she may well stay this far round here so could be the main danger, ahead of No Diggity and Pop Favorite.

A couple of these have the potential to improve now handicapping such as Sunshine Fun, while Queen Of Asia remains unexposed and may show more if settling better than last time. However, HELLAVAPACE comes into this in good order and must have a good chance if as effective on this surface as she is on Polytrack. The maiden Morjhana was only just beaten in one previous visit here and may provide most danger.
17:50 Dream Harder
This looks a fascinating maiden with the three newcomers all having something to recommend them and the market should be illuminating as regards their prospects, but a couple of these have already shown ability. The form of the race in which Udaberri finished third at Chelmsford last time could hardly be working out better, but preference is for DREAM HARDER who outran his huge odds when fourth on his recent Kempton debut. There is every reason to think he can step forward from that.

18:20 Astaroth
This greater test of stamina could result in improvement from a couple of these, with Mezzanotte perhaps the most interesting given her stout pedigree and the fact that she is closely related to several AW winners. However, ASTAROTH comes into this in fine heart and although only third in his hat-trick bid at Kempton last time, that form has already been franked. Nursery debutant Whitcliffe could prove dangerous if left alone in front.
18:50 Robeam
If stepping up from last month’s promising return Be Easy could be given a chance on her second start for the yard, while course winner Flying Standard and Retrospect have been running well enough lately to suggest they could figure, but ROBEAM makes the most appeal. Already confirmed as a strong stayer on the AW, his latest third over C&D has already received a boost and he must have every chance back here from the same mark.
19:20 Echo Beach (NAP)
It will be interesting to see if there is any market confidence behind One Hart on his stable debut, having returned to the same mark as when making it 3-5 over C&D in February. Alphonse Karr would have to be respected if seeing out the trip, but ECHO BEACH (nap) looks the one to beat. He looks better on the AW than on turf and although 4lb higher than when winning at Newcastle in July, that was a better race than this one.
19:50 Nomasee
Plenty of the runners are interesting, notably NOMASEE who wasn’t far behind subsequent Listed/Group winners on his debut. Summer Secrets (second choice) and Hayat are also likely to progress, while Liangel Hope, Adaay With Friends and Calm Universe are noteworthy newcomers. Any positive market moves should be heeded. Astral Beat has leading form claims but seems vulnerable after three defeats.
20:20 Jorvik Prince
A few of these may be better suited to 6f these days such as I’m Watching You and Twice As Likely, but the trip is no problem to three-time C&D winner JORVIK PRINCE. He has dropped to a favourable mark and can take full advantage. The veteran Captain Ryan has won five times over C&D and should be suited by the return to this trip. He rates the main danger.
