13:15 Torvi

TORVI stepped up on her debut form to get off the mark at Bath last time, just needing to be pushed out to win by a length and three quarters in comfortable fashion. She remains open to more improvement and this doesn’t look the strongest of its type, so she is fancied to defy a penalty to make it two wins from three starts.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:50 Daneh

DANEH showed useful form when third in a Group 3 at Deauville earlier this month, doing well to be beaten less than two lengths given how much ground she had to make up after a slow start. It’s highly unlikely that we’ve seen the best of her yet, especially if her smart pedigree (by Dubawi out of the Coronation Stakes winner Rizeena) is anything to go by. She can make the breakthrough in pattern company here before going on to bigger and better things.

14:25 Dance Fever

DANCE FEVER again ran well when second on his latest outing at Doncaster, finding only a progressive three-year-old too strong. He can race from the same mark here and looks sure to be thereabouts if continuing in the same rich vein of form, with stablemate Aratus appealing as the pick of the rest.

15:00 Nagano

NAGANO produced a career best to resume winning ways at this course last month, showing smart form to defy a BHA mark of 94 in taking style. He was held up in the early stages before making rapid headway to challenge entering the final two furlongs, always doing enough from there to land the spoils by three quarters of a length. That form sets the standard in this Group 3 and his scope for further progress over the longer trip identifies him as very much the one to beat.

15:35 Benbatl

BENBATL has a long layoff to contend with in this Group 2, but he has gone well fresh in the past and there is little doubt he is the most talented horse in the line-up. After all, he is already a three-time Group 1 winner and has shown himself to be capable of high-class form on his day. It remains to be seen whether he retains all his ability as a seven-year-old, but he can probably afford to be a bit below his best and still prevail here.

16:10 Sky Power

SKY POWER made good progress in four starts for the Richard Hannon yard in 2020, producing a useful performance to get off the mark on his final outing at Southwell in November. He has spent nine months on the sidelines since then and has joined Ralph Beckett, who should be able to unlock further improvement from this unexposed runner. He still looks ahead of his mark and rates a confident selection to make a winning return for his new stable.

16:45 Snowalot

SNOWALOT looked an unlucky loser when second on his most recent outing at Sandown, passing the post just half a length behind the winner despite coming from further back than ideal. He conceded first run and did well under the circumstances to finish as close as he did, making up ground hand over first in the straight. He is only 3 lb higher in the weights here and should mount a bold bid to gain compensation.
