36 races? Over five days? In front of capacity crowds?
While it might sound like something out of Paddy’s wildest fantasies, we can assure you this is not a dream – Glorious Goodwood 2021 is upon us with a feast of flat-racing lined up for the thousands to attend and the millions due to watch at home.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
The great and the good will assemble from Tuesday, July 27 to Saturday, July 31 for one of the highlights of the summer racing season – which seems as good a reason as any to bring together our top pundits panel of Matt Chapman, Mick Fitzgerald, Jason Weaver, Timeform and Paddy Power himself for our Goodwood cheat sheet.
They’ll be here each and every day of the meeting to mark your card for all the races – hot dang!
And just to get you in the mood, here’s Matt Chapman on the Group 1 Goodwood Cup Stakes (15:35) for Tuesday:
“It’s impossible to oppose STRADIVARIUS for me and while he’s short odds. t’s easy to argue he’s become a little vulnerable at the age of seven but he has enough class to see this lot off.”
Though Paddy is going against the grain in the feature:
“Stradivarius is no longer the horse he once was so I’ll take a chance on TRUESHAN.”
But that’s just one of the races – there’s a stonking seven more to cover, so wrap your eyeballs around our top tips for Tuesday…

PUNDITS’ MOST POPULAR PICKS
And STRADIVARIUS is the pick of Mick, Jason and Timeform too in the opening day’s big race, making him the most popular pick of the day, though three of our tipsters agree that BERKSHIRE SHADOW in the 14:25 Vintage Stakes should do the business too.
And there are plenty of pairs among our pundits’ picks too, including LUSAIL in the same race, with Jason Weaver and Timeform plumping for him over the Coventry Stakes winner.
